What is a solar home system

Installing a solar home system in your home is good for the environment. A typical system of 10 KW for 25 years life eliminates more than 400 pounds of nitrogen oxide that causes smog, eliminated more than 1,000 pounds of dioxide sulfur, which creates acid rain and eliminates more than 200 tons of carbon dioxide that contributes to global warming. Above all, government is giving tax incentives to install home solar energy consumers to reduce carbon footprint.

Requirement

Home solar energy systems can be installed in almost all households with the exception of a very small house that is less than 120 square meters of roof. The largest system requires approximately 1000 square meters of roof. The system requires direct sunlight and it works almost everywhere. If there is insufficient space on the roof or if there is a problem of direct sunlight and then can even be installed on land some space or higher. In most cities need planning permission to install home solar power system in the building. Your dealer and installer know how to obtain the necessary permits. You will also require permission from the utility company because the system works with your current utility.

Work System

Solar Home System installed on the roof where solar energy is converted into direct current (DC) power. Then this energy DC is converted to alternating current (AC) for residential use. This alternating current generated is used throughout the house to run all appliances like the refrigerator, television, electric lights, computers, etc.
At night, solar energy system of this house will not work. At night, the sill need energy consumption to the local power company. Most of the domestic solar power systems are interconnected with the utility. Your company provide power as usual at night and during the day when your electricity demand exceeds that produced by solar home power system. If days cloud the solar home system generates less power. Part of the energy produced by your home solar energy system during the day is used to load batteries that supply power to your critical loads in case of a power outage, day or night.

Home Heating

There is a misconception that the domestic power can solar energy heat a home that is not true. The system is used to convert solar energy into electrical energy and this energy is used to run your appliances, lights and other electrical appliances. If you have electric heater in your home then you can use this system to heat the home, which is rare. There are other technologies that convert solar energy into heat but the system is home solar energy is not used for home heating.
Home systems solar energy have no moving parts and modules are also difficult. The components can last many years without any problems.

Other advantage

In addition to direct savings to utility costs, homeowners have an advantage of more and that is the resale value of property. For each dollar saved annually in income the value of the home is higher among 10 to $ 20.

Sustainability expert and author of THE NATURAL HOUSE, Dan Chiras focuses his expertise this time around on everything related to solar power and passive cooling. Energy preservations efforts in the 1970s resulted in solar-powered buildings that were often hit or miss (typical problems include design flaws and overheating). Here, Chiras attempts to correct the problems of the past with his extensive knowledge of solar power, insulation, air ventilation, air filtration, and building materials. Also included is a section dedicated to software suggestions for homeowners who plan to design their own solar-powered structures. This is an exhaustive study of solar products and solutions written in an intriguing style that reveals the author's passion for natural home living.
