How to Build solar panels - Simple to the average Joe
If you ever do some research or sought the installation of a professionally made solar panel for your home you have probably realized that is not as affordable as you'd hoped. You would think that the cost of green energy solutions for homes would be less expensive in the technologically advanced world. The sad fact remains, green solutions for solar energy and others are horribly expensive and down right low practical for the average American family.
While the facilities are expensive and almost looks professional worth, there is much more affordable, but unknown solutions available to anyone willing to put some time, effort and patience. Do-it-yourself green energy projects are perfect for anybody looking to go green and reduce their electricity bills but simply can not afford the lump sum needed for a professional system.
Which means ... To get things started you will have a guide or manual for you understand exactly what I do.
Step 1: Find the materials.
The first thing I did after reading the manual was to go to the store and collect materials. This is easy for most cases and may involve running a different hardware stores some of the basic supplies. Depending on their method and design, you can use different materials. Some are harder to find, especially the solar cells. You probably will not have solar dealer near you and we did not, so you probably need to do an online search. We found an online auction site some had exactly what we needed in terms of solar cells.
Step 2: Joining the cell
The first step when construction actually your solar energy system is to join individual solar cells to create a solar panel. This involves a lot of welding, some crafts, and plenty patience. With a little care and practice became second nature to us. Once the cells are united and ready to build the panel (cover) the cells to absorb the sun will set.
Step 3: Case (panel) construction
There are a million different ways to build a case for solar cells to sit in. Obviously, the top cover should be transparent to the sun, but also water proof to keep the rain and condensation out. You should also allow room for wiring to access the panel. We have built our Plexiglas and wood frame and sealed watertight.
Step 4: Connecting
The last step in setting up your solar panel is to wire your home so you can use the power it produces! To this you need a simple DC to AC converter. The power converter will allow the DC that groups of produce to be converted into AC power for use throughout the home.
